April Cruso is a versatile and passionate artist who has been painting for as long as she can remember. Born and raised amidst the serene landscapes of New England, April’s work is deeply inspired by the natural beauty that surrounded her during her formative years. She predominantly works with watercolors, occasionally exploring the depths of acrylics and oils to further enrich her artistic expression.

April’s journey as an artist began early, taking art classes throughout high school while pursuing extracurricular studies at her local community college. She continued to nurture her creative instincts by double majoring in psychology and art at college. A pivotal moment in her artistic development came when she had the opportunity to study abroad at the Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts, where she immersed herself in a rich cultural exchange that deeply influenced her perspective and technique.

Throughout her career, April has explored a variety of creative avenues. For a time, she applied her artistic talents in the culinary arts, painting intricate designs on cakes and cookies at a bakery. She also honed her skills through specialized classes, including children’s book illustration and her studies with esteemed artist Howard Park.

Today, April is wholly dedicated to her craft, focusing exclusively on painting. Her work is celebrated for its vibrant use of color and masterful play with light.
